Higher Education in Performing Arts
by Kellie Hodges

Higher education in the performing arts has become a force that is continually growing and expanding the breadth of what young artists can do. There are abundant options for dancers as they continue their training after high school graduation and into a professional setting. This informational seminar will introduce students and parents to the career opportunities dancers and other performing artists have never had before. Discussion will include current climate of universities, colleges and training programs, and the levels of concentration from community programs to professional work.
